April 6: The Fab Four!: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM – The Fab Four is elevated far above every other Beatles Tribute due to their precise attention to detail. April 20: The Texas Tenors: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Seasoned performers through and through, The Texas Tenors return by popular demand to our great stage. The ruggedly handsome trio, whose soaring vocals have mesmerized listeners from Piccadilly to Pasadena, first gained renown when appearing before 100 million viewers being voted 2009’s Vocal Group of the Year on the show ‘America’s Got Talent.’ All three hunks are born & bred Texans, of course, with classical chops. Together, the tenors John Hagen, Marcus Collins and J.C. Fisher perform the most romantic songs of the last century in a blended program of gospel, country, classical and Broadway. From well-loved arias like Nessun Dorma to show tunes like The Impossible Dream, Sinatra’s My Way to Autry’s Deep In The Heart of Texas, these fellas light up the stage with breathtaking harmonies and cowboy charm. October 5: Trinity Site Tour: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM – At the site, visitors can take a quarter-mile walk to ground zero, where a small obelisk marks the exact spot where the bomb was exploded on July 16, 1945. The simplest way to get to the Trinity Site is to enter through its Stallion Range Center Gate. The gate is five miles south of U.S. Highway 380, and 12 miles east of San Antonio, NM. Another way is to travel with a vehicle caravan that will form at the Tularosa High School football field parking lot. The caravan will leave Tularosa at 8 am that Saturday. October 11-13: 24th Annual Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium: Each year, during the second full weekend in October, Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico plays host to the nation’s finest cowboy festival with old west storytellers, musicians (including the world famous Texas Playboys), western artists and craftsmen for three days of events, cowboy competitions, horse demonstrations, western swing dancing, kids rodeo and educational activities. One of the highlights of the Symposium is the World Championship Chuckwagon Competition (featured on the Food Network’s All American Festivals and Cowboy Challenge) with prizes totaling $13,000.
